Bob was my Uncle and some of my best childhood memories were being taken down to Prestwich CC by my Dad. I'd have a bottle of coke and watch Bob take numerous wickets and hit sixes high into (and over) the trees bordering the then Prestwich Heys FC.
I always remember his laugh and grin too. Both spread a lot of joy. God bless Bob, hope you are having a good catch up with Dad XX

I was lucky enough to have Bob and an inherited Uncle when I married his nephew Michael. From the moment I met him, he welcomed me in, instantly putting me at ease along with my family who had so much in common, cricket and love of sport mainly that just made it so easy. A gentle man in the truest sense of the word, always thought of fondly, a giant hug, an interesting, kind, funny man who called me 'Caro', a name reserved for those to which I have a special bond. My boys loved him too, they will be proud to continue his cricketing legacy in South Wales and we will remember him.often. Sending love with you Uncle Bob, you really will be so missed xxxx
